First Blog
Imagine the first day back to school. People enviably ask, "what did you do this summer?" Now I will have something interesting to tell them. I will tell them that I blogged it for them, and that they can read the boring details for themselves. And my work is done.
So far this summer I have traveled to Omaha to visit my family, and I brought my little sister back to Alton with me. She and I haven't spent this much time together since the summer of 1997. Now that I think about it, that is a hella long time.
The rest of my summer will be dedicated to traveling a 5 hour radius of MO/IL in search of my Wash U friends that have left for greener pastures. I can't wait. First stop Indy, to visit Amy and Liz. The last trip I plan on making will be to Cali to see Jules. I have never been that far West. I should be a rad trip. That's what they say in California right?
While I am in Alton I will have to consume my time with some activity. So far it has been 2 hours of Dawson's Creek in the morning. Yes, for those of you who knew me in high school, I've caved. Followed my reading a great book, Wicked. And occasionally babysitting for some adorable girls. If you have any other ideas for one's last summer let me know. And if you are already working let me know what you would do if you were in my shoes. Within a reasonable spending limit of course. The government is the only one funding me for the next three years.
Oh and one more highlight. I am going to be a bridesmaid in July. Can anyone guess how many times I will play this role before it is my turn to wear the ultimate gown? Many times I'm sure.
