Robin is Flying Home

My little sister is flying back to Omaha today. It has been great having her here in Alton with me. She kept me busy and having her here gave me a reason to get dressed in the morning and make breakfast. Next week is going to be a mess. :)
It is strange how my family life has become so complicated so quickly. Growing up there were times when I didn't understand why my parents were still married. When most of the friends from middle school only had one parent at home. I thought we were boring or something.
But now that my mom is living in Germany, and has been for two years, I guess I am getting a taste of an 'exciting' situation. I'm beginning to see my parents as separate people, and not as such a powerful two-some. Lately they have even come to me with issues instead of each other.
As much as I appreciate the fact that they trust me. I think I liked things better the way it used to be.
